There is brown butter in the shortbread base and in the chewy caramel filling.
Make the base by combining brown butter, sugar, and flour. Press into the pan and bake until golden and set.
Make the brown butter caramel filling and pour over the cooled base. Leave to chill in the fridge.
Add the chocolate topping. Add white chocolate lines and add feathering if desired, or leave plain.
Chill in the fridge until the chocolate topping and caramel filling are set.
