These burger buns are super soft and squishy! They are easy to make and soft thanks to the Tangzhong method.

Make your tangzhong by cooking bread flour and milk together.
Add all remaining ingredients except the butter and mix until smooth and pulling away from the sides.
Here it is ready to add the butter. The dough will be sticky.
Shape the dough into a ball then place into a bowl and rise in a warm spot until doubled.
Punch down your dough and turn out into a surface.
Divide into balls and shape, then rest under plastic for 10 minutes.
Re shape then place into ring molds if using, and press down lightly.
Rise the buns then brush with egg wash and bake.
Remove the rings if using and leave to cool.
