Rhubarb Custard Buns

These small batch buns have a custard filling, and a rhubarb compote, and streusel topping. 

Roll chilled dough out into a rectangle. 

Spread with chilled pastry cream. 

Roll up into a tight log. 

Cut into buns and arrange in muffin pans. 

When risen, press down the center of each bun using a spoon. 

Top each with rhubarb compote.

And add streusel topping. Bake until perfectly golden. 

There you have it - perfect rhubarb streusel buns!
