Batch making brown butter is a great way to make sure you have it on hand when you need it.



Place butter in a heavy bottomed saucepan. You can brown as much butter as you like

Brown the butter on the stove, stirring often, until it is brown and toasty


Pour the butter into a bowl and stir often until the butter starts to thicken and cool


Once it has started to thicken, transfer to jars and store in the fridge


Stirring the butter as it cools means the butter will stay homogeneous and not separate out


Your brown butter is now ready to use! It will store in the fridge for a least a month.
